Because Service Matters
Steeltec, as part of the Image Resource Group (IRG), is one of the largest and most vertically integrated canopy manufacturers in North America with four locations and 300,000 sq ft of manufacturing space. Having designed and manufactured canopies, wall panel systems, and architectural standing seam roofing since 1946, IRG is also one of the most experienced.
In addition to supplying canopies, IRG can offer a full range of corporate identity signage and modular buildings through its Universal Sign & Display and Sagebrush companies. Image Resource Group is supported by more than 180 employees (including 4 professional engineers with engineering seals in more than 40 states), more than 25 factory and dedicated subcontract installation crews and professional construction project managers. These capabilities allow Image Resource Group to be the only national integrated canopy and image supplier.
Raw material is sourced from both service centers and direct purchase from steel mills. A large inventory of the basic materials is maintained and special material ordered on a job-by-job basis. Value is added by complete vertical operation. Steeltec does all of its own raw material conversion of both structural steel and sheet metal. Steel is processed on one of several beam lines; all welding is done by AWS certified welders. Sheet metal coil is converted to gutter, deck, trim, and fascia. CNC machines are used for cutting and forming. Most critical for a canopy operation is deck panel forming. Steeltec does its own rollforming of deck pans on one of four deck lines; the most in the industry. Gutter and trim are done by large capacity folders and press brakes. Post process painting of sheet metal and structural steel is possible on Steeltec’s own powder coat line and in its new dedicated specialty wet paint plant. ACM fascia routing is done on one of four in-house routing centers. All designs are in compliance with the latest building codes; AISC design standards and fabrication by approved AWS approved procedures.
Dedicated trucks and contract haulers deliver the material to the job sites. A national network of Steeltec trained and certified work crews take delivery of the material and do the installation.
